PROGRAMME DESIGN

All LeadNow! events build from a foundation of strong personal leadership - the ability to lead oneself moment to moment. Programmes are tailored to specific cohorts, the desired outcomes, and the time we have together. We carefully select from our repertoire of elements to build the perfect event.

Each subject is explored via stimulating presentations, experiential learnings, individual reflection and socialisation. We believe deep lessons are learnt by engaged, inquisitive, calm minds, rather than taught by gurus to passive classrooms.

Knowledge and skills, though essential, are not enough  to develop leadership.  Leadership is about your behaviours with yourself and other people - and to change behaviours you have to work at the deeper levels of values and attitudes.  This session explores why ...

PROGRAMME ELEMENTS

KASH

This session enables you to explore your purpose - first through identifying and assessing your values, which leads to a deeper clarification of your pupose

EXPLORING PURPOSE

We know how external factors - other people, time, traffic … - can interfere with our plans.  But the more powerful and potentially damaging interference comes from within - from self doubt and fear.  This session shows you how easy it is to control that interference and choose what your "inner voice" is telling you to better lead yourself and others.

MANAGING STRESS & TENSION: THE INNER VOICE

Stress, tension and fear are physical responses to a perceived threat. This session reviews the neurology and physiology of fear as a basis for its management. "Taking a deep breath" has long been suggested as a way of relieving stress, tension and fear.  This session explores the most effective way to do that …

MANAGING STRESS & TENSION: BREATHING

This session provides a simple but very effective tool for moving instantly from a state of fear and tension to one of ultimate leadership potential - "flow" or being "in the zone".

MANAGING STRESS & TENSION: PERIPHERAL VISION

As a leader, it is crucial that you are able to "stay on course" especially when circumstances change or become confused and everyone else is beginning to "lose their heads and blame it on you".  This session explores why knowing and being deeply connected with your purpose is so important.

PURPOSE: THE IMPORTANCE OF PURPOSE IN LEADERSHIP

Emotionally Intelligent leaders lead themselves and others well. They are more aware of themselves and others, and better able to manage themselves and their relationship with others, a foundation of leadership.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Most relationships aren't as effective as they could be. We don't always know what others want to give and receive, but there is a way to clarify and synergize.

RELATIONSHIP FRAMEWORK

If you cannot access and stay with your "adult" self you cannot lead yourself or others.  This session explores what that means and how to do it.

PARENT ADULT CHILD (TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS)

What we choose to focus on determines how we use our time. This session clarifies how we can best use our focus to maximise our leadership potential.

TIME AND FOCUS

Daniel Goleman, developer of the Emotional Intelligence model, identifies six key "styles" of leadership, from the most positive to the potentially most damaging.

LEADERSHIP STYLES

Having a clear vision of the future you wish to create is a key part of leadership, but what is the difference between a visionary and a visionary leader, and what does the leader have to do to pass the vision on?

VISIONARY LEADERSHIP

Trust is one of the most important aspects of effective leadership.  But how do you develop trust, and how do you mend it once it has been damaged?  This session explores how.

TRUST

A simple tool from conflict-management practice to diffuse conflict and promote awareness, connection and development

HANDLING CONFLICT

Without conflict there can be no growth, or change or evolution.  "Conflict" itself is not bad - it is how we handle it that determines whether it is "constructive" or "destructive "…

THE PURPOSE OF CONFLICT

This session explores  a simple but powerful model for understanding conflict and how to relieve it.

THE BASIS OF CONFLICT

Coaching is a key leadership ability. If you can't help others to perform they may languish. So let's start coaching here.

COACHING

Delegation is one of the most important actions of a leader.  This session explores a unique and powerful tool that will enable you to provide highly effective delegation - up and down the line.

DELEGATION

Feedback can help others to perform. Not giving feedback can leave them flying blind. But giving feedback inappropriately can be damanging. How will you feedback?

FEEDBACK

UNDISCUSSABLES

Why is it that, in family, social or professional groups, there are some things that you just don't talk about?  This session explores the psychology of "undiscussables" and how to minimise their limiting impact on your and your team's performance.

Everywhere we look, teams are vital, but what are teams and how do they form?

TEAM FORMATION

Everyone talks about leaders, but you cannot have a leader without followers!  "Leadership" is something that is given by the group, and it is something that can be taken away.  This session explores the social psychology of leadership.

LEADERS & FOLLOWERS

Every team can be a high-performance team. But how? And what can you do to take it in that direction?

HIGH PERFORMING TEAMS

This session explains how the various aspects of organisational strategic planning fit together - based on the purpose of the organisation or group. And using this framework, each individual develops a strategic plan for themselves

STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR SELF

FULL BODY LISTENING

When the only instruction is to notice what's going on inside you, and imagine what's going on for your partner.... begin to notice the busyness of the mind

COMMUNICATION FILTERS

Even when the conditions are set up to achieve perfect communication, students acutely notice the interference caused by their personal filters, which gets in the way of understanding one another

MIND BODY CONNECTION

Described as 'freaky', this short exercise demonstrates how the power of visualisation changes feeling of physical strength - and therefore the power of visualising positive life outcomes

MY PASSIONS

Explored through everyday questions, and natural conversations students hone in on what makes them feel alive

DE-POWER THE WEAKNESSES

Acknowledging and being specific about the limiting behaviours they have - students then work on giving them less power over their future

SELLING MY STRENGTHS

The session enables students to uncover the set of strengths that make them unique, and become more comfortable articulating them to others

MY CAREER FIT

Using Dilts Logical Levels as a framework, students identify the types of careers and organisations that fit with their values, sense of purpose, beliefs, identity, and the environment they'd thrive in
